Just wanted to write something in here. Been a while since I wrote anything, seem to spend most of my lj time either trawling through communities or commenting on other’s lives.

Singapore is a strange place to be with the SARS virus. You really do get a sense of how anxious some people can be. We’ve had one suspected case in the last 2 weeks and massive campaigns everywhere to provide assurance and promote good public hygiene and yet if you speak to some people they have a quite irrational reaction to it all.

Some of us westerners find it a bit overkill. But for some with a local psyche it fits in well.

Conclusion: people are very very different. Don’t underestimate the influence of the culture that you’re raised in.
And different doesn’t mean wrong.
