No, not Whitney.
Our neighbour just called us over at 9pm. He has a number of Queen of the Night [wiki] plants in his backyard.
Night-blooming cereus is the common name referring to a large number of flowering Cereuscacti that bloom at night. The flowers are short lived, and some of these species, such as Selenicereus grandiflorus, bloom only once a year, for a single night.[1] The night-blooming cereus is also referred to as princess of the night, Honolulu queen (for Hylocereus undatus), and queen of the night.
Utterly stunning.
Our neighbour has a nice fragrant Jasmine like flower that smells really nice at night during early summer. They are short lived too, only for a few weeks.
