So, I’m here in Changi airport on the free internet service (4 terminals for the whole building).
Why is that? Because my wonderful Thai Airways flight is being “re-timed”!!!
What does that mean? Does it mean they’re going to do a few passes of the runway and have a guy with a stopwatch taking score? Does it mean they’ve got the air hostesses doing a measured “how fast can we get the lunch out” drill in order to update their records?
No. It means I have a delay. Of at least 1.5 hours.
But there is a bright side… my 6 hour layover in Bangkok doesn’t look so long now…
Unless they “retime” my Delhi flight as well.
Oh, and one more thing. In Singapore Changi airport you need a gold Star Alliance frequent flyer card to use the nice lounge, not a silver one.
All that’s left is to smile nicely at the gate and ask for an upgrade… 🙂
Did the smile work?
don’t know yet. Still here. A 1.5 hour delay is now 4 hours and climbing. Am going to smile sweetly and see about another flight so I can get my connection to Delhi
Only remember …
Your times (and re-times) are in His hand.
