I responded to your argument that the Gospel of Thomas is a 4th century forgery.
That said, I’ve not read The Da Vinci Code but I’ve gotten the impression from conversation with others that it does have a lot of nonsense. The whole ‘Priory of Sion’/’Holy Blood Holy Grail’ thing was demonstrated to be a hoax, the documents forgeries, yet it persists for some reason.
update on the 4th Century thing,

Not that it changes any of the arguments re the purpose of Nicea
