Day 1 of GAFCON 23 is drawing to a close. The first session saw speeches from GAFCON Chair Foley Beach and General Secretary Ben Kwashi. You can watch the session courtesy of the feed provided by GAFCON.

I’ve been involved in The Heart of GAFCON streaming interviews over the week with as many people as we can persuade to come in front of the camera! Check it all out here.

We’re going to close out each day with a panel discussion. Here’s tonight’s – it’s a great insight into what’s happened today and what the implications are for the big issues facing us in the Anglican Communion. Today’s big question: are we going to see the final conference statement set up new Instruments of Unity for the Anglican Communion? Could that even be an alternative to the Archbishop of Canterbury?!
