In a recently released video Bishop Richard Condie of Tasmania, chair of GAFCON Australia, gives a clear and powerful summary of the current situation in the Australian Anglican Church.

“The agreement amongst the bishops [at the annual bishops’ meeting] was that we have two views of marriage amongst the bishops. In the Anglican Church of Australia there are two irreconcilable views of what marriage is.

One of the bishops … declared that he intended to bring an ordinance to his synod this year to allow for blessing of same-sex marriages in his diocese, before the General Synod deals with the question.
