The JESUS film is the world’s most watched. Screening the children’s adaptation (despite the pretty corny accents) is one of the most effective things I get to do when teaching Special Religious Education (“Scripture”) to primary school children.
The only drawback is that the 1970s production is looking a bit dated.
But no longer! Earlier this year we were given a digital remastering, available on DVD, Blu-ray etc..
Don’t be put off by the fact that Jesus looks like He has better hair conditioner than we do, this is a brilliant tool. My Scripture kids loved it.
