At the moment we have a number of “favourite” shows that must be put on constant cycle on the DVD player (at least they would be, apart from that wonderful phrase – “no! no more television”). Playschool used to bore me silly when I was young (at least if I remember correctly) but not so for Charis. She loves it. Can’t find a video online but click the above link to get a sample.

If you’ve not yet encountered the Wiggles then you must be living on another planet. 4 men who are currently Australia’s highest-earning entertainers. Good clean musical fun. Here’s a sample of some of their best work.

Charlie and Lola

Currently ranking #3 in Charis’s love-list but definitely #1 for Jacqui and I. Lola is a little girl who learns her life-lessons through interaction with her brother Charlie. Great stuff and the finest subliminal re-programming of little minds we’ve yet to find. Here’s a sample of stuff from their first series…

Other parents of toddlers confirm that our child is perfectly normal. In particular the ability to watch the same video every single morning and not get bored is a special gift that the under-4 has. That and waking up at 5:30am.
