Yes, omniscience was required to know that Mr. Ennui couldn’t see the banner. And in fact, Mr. Ennui didn’t even know himself that such a thing existed. It took a higher power (because we all know that that you have the power) to point out his blindness. And then dear preached “the word” that was the means of grace to point “the way” and accomplish for Mr. Ennui what he could not do for himself.
