How to send a gift to victims of the Peshawar atrocity

Friends, you cannot fail to have heard about the terrible events in Peshawar over the past few days. But perhaps you have not yet heard:

A twin suicide bombing at All Saints Church in Peshawar in northern Pakistan on Sunday has claimed the lives of 85 people and injured over 100 more. Among the dead, according to the Diocese of Peshawar, were several children who attended Sunday School and members of the church choir.

A wing of the Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, saying in a statement: “They are the enemies of Islam, therefore we target them. We will continue our attacks on non-Muslims on Pakistani land.”

More people were killed in this outrage than in the terrorist attack in Kenya. Nevertheless we’ve been told very little about this in the media.

If you are a Christian then, like me, you may want to stand in sympathy and solidarity with our brothers and sisters and send a gift to support them and, in particular, the families that are now mourning the loss of loved ones.

You can.

Either go to the AnglicanAid website here and pick “Pakistan Emergency All Saints Church” from the drop-down menu or make a direct deposit to their Australian bank account:

    Thanks David

I haven’t seen it in the secular mainstream news sources I read daily. Got it through an internet site that reports on news concerning Christians worldwide.

Thanks for letting me know about the Anglican churches ability to reach these Christians in Pakistan.

    Appreciated.
