A bit of personal news from the Oulds.

I’ve accepted an invitation for 2018 to join the staff at St John’s Cathedral, Parramatta, as Senior Associate Minister. Here’s the announcement that Senior Minister Bruce Morrison made today at the services:

Announcement regarding the appointment of Rev. David Ould to the Parish of Parramatta

Date:   Sunday 16 July 2017

It is my great pleasure to announce that Rev. David Ould will be joining us at St. John’s Regional Cathedral Parramatta commencing January 2018. David will be the Senior Associate Minister and take pastoral responsibility for the 9.30am congregation.

David is married to Jacqueline and they have three children, currently in primary and high school. He was born in England and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Warwick University, after which he trained as a Chartered Accountant in London. David trained at Moore Theological College and worked as assistant minister at Neutral Bay Anglican Church from 2008 to 2013. He is currently the Rector of Glenquarie Anglican Church located in Macquarie Fields.

I am deeply thankful to God that David has accepted my invitation and look forward to working with him next year.

Bruce Morrison

We’re obviously very sad to be leaving Glenquarie Anglican and would ask you to pray for our current church family as we go through a season of planning ourselves for 2018.

St John’s lies at the heart of the CBD of Parramatta which is going through an incredible time of investment and growth. The building has been described by the local council as “the jewel in the heritage crown of Parramatta” and there are significant opportunities for ministry in Sydney’s second centre.
