2 new pieces

2 pieces of work put up on the website.
First, a new essay on Calvin’s view of the Creedal article “He descended to Hell”. I think this is a fascinatig topic.
Second, an old sermon that I neglected to publish; The Glory of God, Romans 11:33-36.

Right, back to Philosophy study. Philosophy of language. hmmmmmm

      no problem “invading”

the correct procedure is to email us as moderators and ask for permission to advertise your community. We’ll normally approve then you can make a posting.

The first essay didn’t come up. It is a subject of interest to me. I was under the impression that there wasn’t any evidence in the NT that Christ descended into hell but that there was a non-canonical gospel, the Gospel of Nicodemus, that covered this.

      have amended the link.

you’re right, there’s a substantial section in Nicodemus which I considered making some reference to.

In the end there wasn’t enough space to give over to something entirely non-canonical.

FWIW, have a look at the essay – I make a tentative suggestion about the descensus, see what you think.
