save my sanity

ACK!!!! I’ve been reading all day for my essay “What were the cicumstances in early Christianity that led to a definition of the full divinity of the Holy Spirit? What were the implications of this definition for Christian apologetics?”

My brain hurts. I’ve soaked up so much.

To be fair, I’ve learnt a shed-load. Most interestingly is the reassurance that the divinity of the Spirit was understood long before it was finally affirmed towards the end of the 4th Century.

But, for now, my brain is full and I need respite.

Entertain me!!! Help me in my hour of need.

It’s amazing how far back the truth was understood, the Councils merely reaffirming and clarifying it, in stark contradiction to the claim of latter-day skeptics that “orthodoxy” is nothing more than the victory of the politically powerful over all competitors.
