Tonight we start our 2008 series of Pub Church meetings. This year, rather than Sunday evenings, we’re going for Thursday evening and trying to catch people as they come home from work.
Last Thursday morning we blitzed the main bus stops and ferry wharfs here, handing out a PubChurch coaster to every commuter who would take them. Seems to have been a success - we’ve had almost 1500 hits on the website since then.
If you’re local to Neutral Bay, how about coming along to have a look? Better yet, bring some friends who need to hear about Jesus.

Great stuff, hope it goes well!
The graphics are brilliant, very enticing, not for the beer, for the church!

My hubby works right near there, I will let him know all about it. How awesome, he could invite some of his work colleagues. He based in Milson Point for a little while but his regular office is there.
Excellent idea.
thanks guys,
Nix, let your husband know he’s more than welcome. We start around 6:30 and have the meeting running by around 7pm.
Hi Dave,
You’ll have to think about running Introducing God in the pub. Many other churches have done this as pubs are ‘neutral’ and comfortable venues. The comfortable environment helps people to WANT to come back. Asking a friend for an 8-week commitment in today’s culture is impossible, but they’ll come if they like it. Anyway, evangelism in a pub has been done before.
Go for it man!
