FCA Australia have announced a 2018 conference.

EFAC Australia and FCA Australia will again partner to hold a second Anglican Future Conference in Melbourne in September 2018.

Anglican Future Conference 2018 will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) from Thursday evening 6th September till lunchtime on Sunday 9th September.
The partner organisations are planning for this to be a much bigger Conference with the expectation of strong lay participation. EFAC (Evangelical Fellowship of the Anglican Communion Australia) and FCA (Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans โ€“ Australia) partnered together in 2015 to run the first Anglican Future Conference in Melbourne with over 350 participating. FCA Chair, Bishop Richard Condie (Bishop of Tasmania) is keen for all Anglicans who uphold the fundamental declarations of the Anglican Church in Australia to come together to be challenged, inspired and equipped for the challenge of mission today. EFAC Australia Chair Bishop Stephen Hale wants this to be a large gathering of lay leaders and clergy, as we offer a voice of hope for all who minister in and through the Anglican Church of Australia.

Confirmed speakers are Frogg Orr-Ewing and Wes Hill. Frogg is the Rector of Latimer Minster, as well as Chaplain and Missioner for the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics with teaching responsibilities at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He has written several books and is married to Amy with three small children. Frogg will speak on Mission and Culture. Dr Wesley Hill is assistant professor of biblical studies at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and author of the much-discussed book โ€œWashed and Waiting: Reflections on Christian Faithfulness and Homosexualityโ€ as well as โ€œSpiritual Friendshipโ€. Wes will open up the Scriptures on the area of Faithful Sexuality as he reflects on his own journey as a same sex attracted person. Other speakers as well as Bible Study leaders will be announced shortly.

The Conference will be preceded on Thursday 6th September with a range of Ministry and Mission Intensives. Each Intensive will run during the day and will be led by experienced leaders in key areas as well as facilitating Networks across our vast land.
