exams – 5 down, 1 to go.

Today was henious. A 2 hour exam with nowhere near enough time. You know when a mongrel “has relations” with another mongrel and there’s a runt in that litter? That was our exam. In the space of 120 minutes I was meant to translate and comment upon 2 large chunks of greek text from Romans and Acts and then write a further essay on the link and contribution that another pair of texts make to the theology of either Romans or Luke/Acts.

I chose the following:

Luke 23:37 and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” 38 There was also an inscription over him, “This is the King of the Jews.”

and

Acts 2:22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know– 23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.

Thursday is the Doctrine exam of Doom. Then it’s all over

one way or another.
