The appointment of a new Archbishop of Canterbury seems to have prompted many evangelicals to make a stand for biblical truth. One such church making a statement is St Helen’s Bishopsgate in London.

I don’t know what you make of this. Personally I’m suprised that it’s happened so quickly. Of course the evangelicals may consider that it’s better to state their position now then to wait until Williams is enthroned in February 2003. At least it gives Williams an opportunity to consider how much difficulty his liberal views will get him into if he takes up the position.
