This week I’m at the CMS Summer School where this year’s speaker is William Taylor, rector of St Helen’s Bishopsgate in London. William was good enough to sit down with me (outside! you can hear some of the wildlife!) and we chatted about his conversion, his current ministry at St Helen’s, his impressions of Summer […]
Well this one was particularly fun. James White of Alpha & Omega Ministries has been a good friend for quite a while. I’ve had the pleasure of being on his show a few times and it was great fun to have him on ours! We talked textual criticism and Islam, following on from a conference […]
We’re back with another episode, this time chatting with Hefin Jones about the discussion amongst complementarian evangelicals over the question of the eternal (or not) submission (or otherwise) of the Son to the Father. Heavy stuff? Perhaps, but we’ve worked hard to help you get your head around it…
The team is back together. We chat about Kamal’s trip the US of A and his thoughts on how they’re talking about sin at Redeemer Presbyterian. Then we canter through the question of what people should answer to the religion question in the Australian Census. Enjoy!
Brett and I sit down and chat with the awesome Dr Patricia Weerakoon (a.k.a. Kamal’s mum) about all things sex.
We had a great time this month interviewing Carmelina Read, one of the driving forces of eQuip women. Her husband Jeff is senior minister at Chatswood Presbyterian where Carmelina also serves, particularly looking after women. We chatted to her about conversion from an Italian Roman Catholic family, the story at Chatswood and her thoughts on complentarianism.
Another really engaging month on the ToGCast as Kamal, Brett and I first get to grips with the challenge to the Sydney Uni Evangelical Union by the University Union and then move on to talk about Christophanies (appearances of Christ) in the Old Testament. Let me know what you think! Oh, and here we are […]
The Thinking Aloud team get together again as we talk about unity; why the Anglican Communion is struggling to get it and what the principles of unity should be for the Reformed. After that, we have a briefer chat about the current questions in Australian society about how we treat asylum seekers. Enjoy!
On Monday 18 January I had the great joy of spending 2 hours on the radio with Chris Arnzen of Iron Sharpens Iron, a reformed podcast. We spoke about all things Anglican and what it means to be a reformed Christian in that denomination. A long interview, but I trust worth it.
On the evening of Sunday 17 January 2016 I gave a brief interview to Dominic Steele on 2CH here in Sydney about the recent Primates gathering.
