An Announcement – Future Ministry

GAC_logoI’m very pleased to announce that our plans for future ministry have been finalised.

This week I accepted the Archbishop of Sydney’s invitation to be the new rector of Glenquarie Anglican Church in the southwest of Sydney. We were attracted to the parish from our first meeting with the nominators and are excited to be taking up this new episode. Glenquarie are doing great work in their local community, reaching out in love in with the gospel and with practical aid to their neighbours and building further upon the good work of previous ministers.

We’re excited to be joining and serving them as we continue to do this together.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us over these past few months in the lead-up to this moment. We’re very appreciative. Perhaps now you ought to start praying for the saints and, God-willing, saints-to-be in Glenquarie! ;)

So did we, last year! But God appears to have had other (and no doubt better) plans

Of course God’s plans are better, I agree. And I’m delighted to retain you in this diocese. I must make use of your relative proximity and see you in person sometime.

    Look forward to being neighbours.

And Glenn, if you’re going to come down to the SW, may as well swing by the ‘burn too.

I believe our wives have been trying to tee something up for one of my rare Saturdays rostered off at work.
